Hank C. K. Wuh, MD, MPH – Chairman
The founder and CEO of SKAI Ventures, Dr. Wuh has successfully developed over 20 biomedical and consumer healthcare products from concept to commercialization. Dr. Wuh holds numerous issued and pending patents covering a broad range of innovations. In 2008, he was awarded the Invention Entrepreneur of the Year by the Hawaii Venture Capital Association. Dr. Wuh is a member of the President’s Advisory Council on Innovation and Technology Advancement as part of the Dean’s Council at the University of Hawaii’s School of Engineering. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Biology from Johns Hopkins University, a Masters of Public Health from Harvard University, and a Medical Doctorate from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Wuh was Class Marshall at Harvard University and twice won the Vernon P. Thompson Prize for outstanding research while a resident at Stanford Medical Center.
Kent Mansfield – President
Mr. Mansfield has worked as an executive for leading private and public technology companies in the brand protection and software markets. He has served as Senior Vice President of UK‐based Smart Holograms Ltd., a brand and product Protection Company, as co-founder and President of Boardroom Software, Inc., and as Chief Operating Officer of B&B ARMR, Inc. (a division of Integrated Security Systems, Inc.), a physical security hardware manufacturer. As an early innovator in the industry, Mr. Mansfield served as Chief Operating Officer of Authentix, Inc., a brand protection and product authentication company, helping build this nanotechnology company into one of the early success stories in the brand protection market. Authentix was later acquired by the Carlyle Group and JH Whitney. He was also Managing Director at Ultrak, Inc., a publicly traded security hardware provider, where he was responsible for the company’s European operation based in Antwerp, Belgium prior to its sale to Honeywell. Mr. Mansfield holds two patents in business software. He earned his degree from Texas Tech University.
Michael O’Neill, PhD – Chief Technology Officer
Dr. O’Neill has over two decades of technology development experience. Prior to joining TruTag Technologies, Dr. O’Neill was Senior Vice President and co-founder of Calimetrics, an optical data storage start-up that commercialized technology he co-invented. After Calimetrics was sold to LSI Logic (now LSI Corporation) in 2004, he worked as Special Advisor to 20th Century Fox on technical and security issues related to the emerging high-definition DVD formats, including the development of renewable security features for Blu-Ray. Dr. O’Neill is a veteran of the U.S. Navy submarine corps in the field of radiological health and safety and was stationed at Pearl Harbor. He has published more than 24 papers and conference presentations and holds nine patents in the fields of laser measurement, microscopy, and optical data storage. Dr. O’Neill earned a PhD in Biophysics from the University of California, Berkeley.
Peter M. O. Wong, JD – Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Wong’s career has focused on providing strategic guidance to technology companies at critical inflection points. Prior to joining TruTag Technologies, he served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel for educational technology developer LeapFrog Enterprises, Inc., where he helped the company prepare for and complete its successful initial public offering (2002 IPO of the Year – $135 million), expand internationally, and complete many significant IP transactions. Prior to that, Mr. Wong was Associate General Counsel and Vice President of Corporate Development at Quokka Sports, Inc., a digital media company, joining prior to its IPO and handling multiple acquisitions and financings. Mr. Wong was previously a business attorney at the Cooley LLP and Howard, Rice (now Arnold & Porter LLP) law firms in San Francisco, where he focused on corporate transactions such as VC financings, M&A, and public offerings. Mr. Wong earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley and his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of Law.
Craig Leidholm, MS – Vice President, Materials Manufacturing
Mr. Leidholm is a technology executive with a proven track record of developing advanced materials from concept to production. Prior to joining TruTag Technologies, he was Vice President of Engineering and Technology at Solexant Corporation, a high-tech photo-voltaic company, where he led technology development and manufacturing. Prior to that, he was Director of Process Engineering at NanoSolar, Inc., another advanced photo-voltaic company, where he was the founding technology executive and led the transfer of IP from research and development to production scale-up. Previously, Mr. Leidholm led engineering efforts at Microfabrica, Inc., NuTool, Inc. and International Solar Electric Technology, Inc.; and was a co-founder of Laboratory Catalyst Systems, a developer of technology for catalyst discovery and development. He is co-author of eight issued patents as well as numerous other patent applications and technical publications in the area of solar cell materials, processes and equipment. He earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering and M.S. in Materials Science from the University of Southern California.
